[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago, the clothes come up really clean. I wish it had more functions. The only thing I don’t like it that after done with the cycle there is some water left on the softer and liquid soap dispenser

The machines capacity is almost too big...I could bathe in it if there were not an impeller. I am not complaining about that...it's more of an observation. 

I am disappointed that there is not a soak feature as that is important to me.  

I do not like the load sensing as there have been many times that not enough water used and the detergent did not rinse off of the load.  It is hard to figure out when I can/should use the deep fill option.

The App was time consuming to set up and didn't really offer any more load features.

I miss older machines that were easier to used and had features I used/needed vs useless tech that doesn't add value.

Frustating

I guess I thought I'd be more impressed from the reviews and LG name...honestly felt like I settled and I'm bummed. 

No delicate or prewash options. No light to see inside, top glass gets dirty immediately as it's not fingerprint proof, locks when filling vs. only when the washing begins, exact location required for to use app so I can't use it since LG doesn't need to be able to track my phone location-weird!!! Has a powder drawer but not a pod one, it makes the most hideous white noise screeching hum during the wash and it's VERY loud when filling. It's nearly impossible to customize ur wash...ur pretty much stuck to the preset options...example I can't use deep fill, turbo wash, warm water all together. Some brands have really cool features like a facuet in the tub for scrubbing or a mini scrubber that holds detergent that sits in the top, removable impeller, this has like nothing extra.

Size and capacity are ok. I'm short and I can reach the bottom easily. It's sleek looking but honestly the gray matte looks like cheap paint next to my (other brand) gray shiny washer. So far we haven't had the dreaded black streaks some folks mentioned. It has short cycles such as Deep Wash which is less than an hour. It also has delay wash time that are I think up to 16 hrs which is kinda cool. Wish it had like a 20 hr one so u could have it done for the next day right before u need it.

Thought I'd be more wowed

I have two major complaints about this washer. #1. The lid. Yes, the lid that opens and closes on the top of the unit. Whomever thought it was a good idea to put this at an angle is a moron. It may look appealing in a show room but its unbelievably impractical in the home. You'll instinctively try and put things on top of your washer and they will stay there just long enough for you to walk away. Then, whatever you put there will topple off. The glass lid is also super easily scratched and appears dirty often - even with frequent cleaning. #2. The features (in general). You cant change the default water temp to cold. You cant disable to auto lock feature that stays on after the wash cycle is complete. And the integration with the app (which you'll want for "delicate", "small load", and other washing options) requires you to enable the washer to start based on the app's directive. Turbo wash (another default) is super effective for washing rugs, for example, but will easily ruin clothes items and will make brand new Bombas socks pill. 

The positives: the capacity is huge (great for bedding), its affordable, and you can change the dig when the cycle finishes to sound like a Beethoven song....if you ever wish to annoy your spouse a little ;) 

Would NOT purchase again.

Too many reasons to avoid...

I have been very disappointed with the over all performance of this washer.  The bottom agitator doesn't not move the clothes enough to get them very clean.  I did not realize that the machine would not have a soak cycle which I use quite often for pet laundry.  Also, this machine does not handle pet fur, or any kind of lint very well.  I wish I could have my old "stupid" washing machine back.

I am not very happy with this machine.

Same comments as the drier that we bought with this washer. Good performance, terrible control panel, simply CAN'T READ THE ENTIRE PANEL IT'S JUST TOO DIM. Washer seems to work well but we have added lighting, removed lighting, no results it's just too dim.  We are now having lables printed to stick on the DIM LETTERS on the non functional panel.

Washing a small load may be okay but, medium to large loads frequently become imbalanced with super limited water input...worst machine I've ever purchased. Try at your own risk! THE LG I HAD BEFORE WAS MUCH BETTER!

Don't waste good money!

there is not a soak cycle. if you try to open or stop the washer , it will drain the water, older washers have this feature. I can believe LG did not that about that.

DONT HAVE SOAK OPTION

I bought this a few days ago.   As someone else posted:  When you set the washer to NORMAL, the default settings are WRONG. When you set it to QUICK Wash, the default settings are WRONG. The user manual indicates what they should be but that is not what happens. It defaults to SUPER HOT and HIGH SPIN for most of the DEFAULTS. Sure.. you can modify them but why have a cycle setting if you have modify it EVERY TIME.  I am in agreement here with this reviewer.  I don't want to return my machine, but I will.  So frustrating!!

My LG washer is just over a year old. I’ve owned and used many other brands over the years, but this is my first LG. No gentle cycle, no instruction manual, QR code under the lid to view a manual doesn’t work, hard to see the buttons, but absolutely worst of all is the brown crud that appears on my clothes after being washed. I have NEVER had this happen before. I’ve always (with every washer I’ve had) used very little liquid detergent, no fabric softener, but do use the cold cycle often. Not sure why this happens only with LG but I would not buy another LG washer nor would I recommend one. Very disappointed, can’t wait to get rid of it.
